Well I just made my reservations to go to Boston Sunday no turning back now. I want to go to this knit out and I'm going alone, fuck it.
I still haven't heard from the job but I think I got an appointment with a specialist on the 14th long story. Anyways I begged that it not take to long for an appointment since I would only have insurance from the time I give my notice for 2 weeks. I think I cursed myself by talking about the job so much it would be to much to actually get something I wanted. I told Ray today that I think I used all my good luck up when I broke my neck so now I have none left can something like that happen I don't really know.
We went tonight to pick up Michaels birthday present from us. He had to come cuz we needed to make sure it fit. Now don't freak out we bought him a real small 22 rifle. The one we had given to us was just to big for him he couldn't shoot properly. Before I get lectured we only let him shoot at the range with proper equipment under direct supervision. He doesn't even know where the guns are kept in the house under lock and key. He is going hunting for birds with Ray next weekend and bringing it with him. He wont have any ammo it will be a learning weekend for him how to carry it safely, put it in the truck, pass it to someone etc. We are both completely safety oriented we wont let him shoot in the field till he proves to us that he is ready 100%, and not until then. He was so proud in the store he didn't stop talking to everyone around that would listen. But by the time we got all the paperwork done and background check, Michael was getting tired and cranky to go home. We were smart on one thing we brought pj's with us knowing its a long ride home and we were right he fell asleep and when we got home he went right to bed. And that's what time it is for me time to go to bed. Good-night where ever you are.

I'm a slug

I'm a slug this week I havent felt quite right all week, tired kinda blah. I havent heard from the job I interviewed for it will be a week tomorrow I will probably email him then. But then if he offers it what to do about the doc's test and insurance issues. Then there is this weekend we are having Michaels bithday party on Saturday at 4 cuz of course I have to work till noon again. Sunday I am still going to Boston I'm taking the train with all my friends meaning I'm going alone. I dont really give a shit at this time I want to go so I am so what if I dont have anyone to go with I'll take so pictures to share with anyone who might care. Next weekend Ray and Michael are going north to see MIL I'm staying home cuz I have to work again. Then I'm going to the fair on Sunday again alone, at least I wont have to pay for rides for Michael thats the only upside.
I told you I'm kinda slugging this week. I'm having my own little pitty party sorry for dragging you into it with me.I just dont feel like being chipper I miss my friends that have all moved away on me the last few years. I love Ray but I cant drag him everywhere I understand he needs to do guy stuff and cant always be my girlfriend too. ok I'm going to watch tv not like I have anyone to shoot the shit with Ray is sleeping already. Night.

know what sucks when you are a knitter you want one pattern and the only thing you can find it in is a book. I so want to make this sweater.
its a bolero jacket in the debbie bliss simply soft book But I dont want to spend $16 for one pattern. I cant even put it in my wish list for amazon cuz its not on there list. the only thing about the sweater I did notice is I need to figure out how to make it a little bigger but I believe that the lady at work knows how to do that. The best sweaters arent made to fit real woman I ususally take an xl/xxl but I knit tight so I need to always need to make things even bigger. oh well I'll find something close I'm sure. I did make a bunch more little purses I need to take pictures of this week I hope they sell at the fair.

Anywho tomorrow I have the day off not for anything fun Ray's grandfather passed away last weekend and we are driving to Mass. for the services tomorrow. One of those neccesary evils that you must do. Grandpa had been sick for quite sometime and we knew it was coming but it still sucks when it does happen.
On a good note if there is one we will see Ray's dad who we havent seen since his house burnt down last January. He has been staying with his stepdaughter while they are rebuilding. Michael is spending tomorrow night with my grandmother in case we are running late she is going to pick him up at school and keep him for the night. Saturday I have to work and Ray is going to take him to dance and stuff. Thats about it for us. See ya all soon I'm going surfing while I watch CSI.

Well its been an interesting week so far. For the good news I got a job interview today with the company that is right around the corner from my house, and it went great now the bad news I went to the doctors today and he of course wants to run some really expensive test on me. Now it might take a few weeks to get into this specialist. If I take the new job that is if he offers it to me I will have to give my current job a two week notice and the new company has a 90 day wait for the insurance to kick for 2 1/2 months I wont have insurance on me or the family and there is no way I can afford to cobra (pay myself) for the insurance. So now I wait for the doc to call with the appointment date and the new company to call and offer me a job. Me who has no patience. I don't know what to do last time something like this happened it was 3 years ago, there was a job I reallly wanted and for out on new years eve that I didn't get it two days later I found out my neck was broken. If I had gotten the job and taken it I wouldn't have had insurance to get it fixed. Now I'm in the same situation. I sooo hope that everything works out this time I so need something to go right.
Yesterday I got a letter from Michaels teacher that he hasn't been paying attension at school not listening at all and always disrupting things. He has been kinda like that at home too we have been giving him time outs and taking away privileges and its not working, yet. I hope its just a faze he is going thru.
Ok I'm going to watch LOST have a great night.

I had a nice busy Saturday off. We took Michael to dance this morning and he loved it. I'm glad, he is the only boy in tap and it didnt seem to bother him at all then he is in the all boys street funk class and he liked that even more. We bought him his jazz shoes today and next week he gets his noisy shoes for tap he really wants them. We then brought him to his sisters house he is staying there tonight and going to my moms tomorrow and she will bring him to school on Monday. I dont like not seeing him for so long but we couldnt bring him with us tomorrow. Then we went down to cape elizabeth and got permission from a nice farmer to hunt on his property. We spent all afternoon down there, didnt see any deer but met some other hunters that were very nice.
Now tomorrow will be a really fun day we are going to the Nascar Race in NH. I had bought the tickets from my boss they are on the first turn I guess you cant see the pits but you can see all of the straighaway and most of the rest of the track. This will be the first Big race that Ray and I have ever been to and we are both looking forward to it. We will be getting home late tomorrow so I will post all about it on Monday. Have a great sunday.

Thursday, September 15, 2005

I came home early today with the headache from hell. I tried to make it all day but I just couldnt do it. I waited till my boss came back from lunch and booked, came home and took a nap for a couple hours. Then we took Michael to get some shoes for dance. We decided he isnt going to do soccer its to much, tae kwon do, and dance are enough. My house is trashed and today I dont seem to care at least I have a non pushy husband. He is great he told me today that if nobody wants to go with me to Boston I should take the day to myself and just go.
I get so depressed sometimes I really have no good friends locally to do things with and it sucks. They all seem to move away on me. ok no pity party I'll get all teary eyed and my headache is almost gone.

I'm such a dope

Ok have you ever done something so stupid you felt like a complete loser. I did, I signed up for the secret pals knitting group. Its really cool you become a secret pal for someone and you get to be a pal to someone else. So I get my pal and this morning I use my anonymous email to send her a hello. Little do I realize the reply address had my name on it. So she send me a note back don't worry I wont look you up. This is my first secret pal that I have done so I look at the name. Do you know I haven't used that hotmail account in soooo long that it still had my previous married name on it. I almost died first I tell her who I kinda am then I realize if I sent anyone anything from that account it said Peterson. So I emailed her back and said don't worry you will never find me with that name I have been remarried for 5 years. So I covered myself that way and now she only knows my first name. I just feel like I blew it already. I do have a box ready to send her tho its on of my lamps I hope she likes it.
I got a really nice note from my secret pal. I do think this is going to be something really fun to do.
Oh on another note I think a lady at work might go to Boston with me on Oct 2 to the great American knitout in the Boston common. She is a lot older than me but since I really don't have many female friends to do things like this with it will still be fun. I want to take the train down so we don't have to worry about parking or anything it really depends on the weather that weekend and stuff.
Ok I got to go to the bathroom have a great night or day depending on where you live.

michael's first day

Today was meet the teacher day at kindergarden for Michael. We found out he got into the all day program which is just like being in first grade. We had hoped for this and we heard the kids in that program are far more advanced going into first. I forgot the camera when we dropped him off so I brought it later here are a couple of shots in front of his new class.

Two more benefits of all day kinder is HOT LUNCHES, and lower price for daycare yee haaa

This is a picture of the flowers Ray got me last friday for our aniversary

Sunday, September 04, 2005

Well today wasnt as good for the yard sale but its not like I had a hell of alot to do anyways.
Tomorrow is going to be hell in the morning. Michael has two guinea pigs well he did have two he now has one. He had a brown one named bullseye like the horse in toy story and Jesse like the cowgirl. Bullseye hasnt been right since Thursday, she has been just lying around not active. We tried everything giving her, her favorite foods cleaning the cage twice nothing made her feel better. The other night we talked to Michael about how she was getting older and might go to heaven soon and he got really upset. Tonight I had a weird feeling so I went in to check on them. She was just lying there so I picked her up. She started purring then started jumping like she had the hickups, But I think she was having a seizure or something. I put her back in the cage and Jesse came right over to her and started chirping put her head on bullseyes back then just walked away. I reached in and she was gone. Shit I couldnt help but cry myself. Michael was already sleeping but he will know when he gets up that she is gone. Ray wrapped her up and put her in a box so they could bury her tomorrow.
I dont know if bringing her to the vet would have helped or not I did call Friday and just to bring her in was $75 I just couldnt do .That sounds sick I'm sure if we cared we would have paid it right, but we decided it could be old age more than anything being over 3 years old and really couldnt justify spending that much. We wont be replacing her.
Its going to be a really hard day tomorrow. And we still have to do some school shopping sometime in the morning. Then we had planned on going to the club and sighting the guns in for deer season. Its weird we hunt for our food can raise rabbits, pigs etc and know they are food. It doesnt bother us when they die. Even Michael understands but losing a damn guinea pig made me cry like a baby.I think I got it all tonight so I can be strong for him tomorrow. At least I'm not working and he doesnt have daycare tomorrow so Michael can have a day to be upset if he wants to. Now I just home that Jesse doesnt get sick we got them at the same time and they have always been together.
I'm gonna watch the Nascar race for a little while and head to bed have a good Labor Day.

Saturday, September 03, 2005

Yesterday was our 5 year wedding anniversary and I have to say Ray made it the best one yet. Well considering he forgot last year he kinda had to make up and man did he ever. I got 5 roses delivered at work in a beautiful vase I'll take a picture later. Then I get home and he had made arrangements for Michael to spend the night at his sisters house. The little sneak I had asked her today if she could come over and babysit and she told me that she was spending the night with a friend. They had it all planned already. So we went out to dinner and to visit my friend Lou at the bar she works at. Then we came home, now I still cant have intercourse till I go back to the doc for a recheck I even called the nurse the other day and said its been 3 weeks my appointment is on the 12th all the spotting and stuff has stopped is it ok to do anything she said no just in case let him check it out first. I felt like an ass for calling for permission to have sex but I DON'T want to screw anything up. So anyways Ray and I had the best non-intercourse night ever. This is not like him at all so this was a blessing. Oh my god did he ever surprise me and I'm going to just leave it at that. But I did sleep with a smile on my face. I love him so much and will be forever grateful that we met.
ok enough with the sappy shit. I am having a yard sale to get rid of some junk and need to get my ass outside to get everything ready have a great day.

Thursday, September 01, 2005

I just had to add word verification I got spammed in my comments sorry for the inconvenience.

I just uploaded some new pictures in my photo album. A bunch of family pictures and some new knitting pictures of the new little purses I have been making I plan on selling them for 15 at the craft fair. If anyone on here wants one I can make them any colors with any 3 letters on them any more letters it just doesn't look right. They are about 6 +- inches tall. I would have to add a couple bucks for shipping but that shouldn't be much. The first big backpack that Michael is wearing was a trial thing that one is a hell of a lot more work than the little ones.

Ray and I were talking tonight about the hurricane and how we could help. I told him now that I'm done with the club if I find a job that allows it I would like to become a red cross volunteer. They only require a two week at a time commitment in a crisis if you want to do more you can. A lot of employers will pay you for your time off for something like this. I have always volunteered in some way or another. Being done with the club seemed like a good thing at the time but now I am lost. But not really I have my family, knitting, archery and work but something is missing, maybe this is it. I guess I have a need to be needed. The lady at work that taught me to knit said I the type of person that has to feel like I have to be helping someone, I should have been a nurse. She also said that is problably why I was with an alcoholic, wife abuser for so long I was trying to help him, he needed me to take care of him, to fix him. I did that all right I divorced his sorry ass. Oops sorry I went off on my own little thing there for a minute. But he was a sorry ass.
So anyways depending on when and if I find a job I really think I am going to look into the red cross.

I hope everyone that I know is safe and want you to know you all are in my thoughts.

Not much is going on around here this weekend I think I'm going to have a yard sale and make some money to put aside for fuel. Actually I need to buy wallpaper for my kitchen I stripped the old stuff off while I was laid off last winter and haven't had the money for anything new. So I hope I can get rid of some of this junk.
ok I got to go for tonight. Stay safe.
