I just spent the last 40 minutes doing a huge post and it control v instead of c and lost the entire thing I am soo mad I cant believe this aaaahhhh.

ok lets start over.

Jamie and I had a wonderful trip to the boston knit out on Sunday, We got up and left home at 6am to help set up the tables and chairs. After we got done setting up we rested for awhile before walking to quincy market for lunch.
We looked for the stores I remembered from growing up, the pig store, the lefty store and stairway to heaven, couldnt find a one of them, it had all changed to expensive restraunts and stores I could never afford to shop at.
I dont know what was up with the bugs around there, the bugs liked my orange volunteer shirt everytime I looked down I had fruit fly type bugs all over me, Jamie kept swatting them off my back.

We then walked back to the knit out and got some great prizes and a book signed by the author Jill Eaton. It has some wonderful patterns in it. I didnt know until then she is from Maine not to far from me like two towns over.
We sat around resting our feet until 4:30 when we walked over to the charles playhouse to see the blue mand group. Jamie and I agreed this show was wonderful we would both like to see them again. Maybe next year if we go to the knit out we will make it a mom and daughter tradition. the show was that good. we took a couple of pictures see below : now remember this is at 7pm and we had been outdoors walking and sweating all day so the pictures of us arent the best, and the guy that took them was very close. My thought was lets take pictures here cuz at a big show we would never get this close to them.




After the show we had a little difficulty getting out of Boston, we came out of the garage and there were no signs saying how to get to the highway we drove around for 30 minutes or so before we found it. We stopped in Saugus to get gas it was only 2.20 per gal big savings compared to a couple of weeks ago. When we got to about NH I asked Jamie do you have much experience driving on the highway? (she just got her license two weeks ago) she said lots with uncle gary. I'm like good I'm done, I'm so tired I won't get us home. So she took over the next thing I know she says mommy we are home. I dont remember the ride so she must have done ok we got home safe I wouldnt have. Kat you remember that drive home from new orleans I was that tired.

Yesterday I did not want to get up for work. My legs ached all over, I have psoriasis on my feet now like on my palms and I walked funny all day and in doing so used muscles I dont usually use and didnt know I had until they now hurt like hell. But it was worth it.

Tonight we are going to church at 6:30 to have family pictures done for the new directory they are doing. We get a free picture too. Ray and Jamie are both coming even though then dont come to mass they are part of the family so I'm making them come with me. not that they mind really or that I would given them a choice. LOL

This sunday Michael and I are going to the fryberg fair. the fair has a great big fiber building that I could get lost in all day Michael and meme wont let me get to lost he just wants to go on the rides, rides, rides. To me the best part or worst part depends on how you look at it is that my ex works the fair every year he comes up from NY just to work here.I absolutly have no feeling for this man I just love the fact that every year he looks more and more like shit. No this is not Jamies dad this is just the ex-ass I had a short marriage to. Seeing him makes me look at Ray with so much more love I have the best man no doubt about that. I look at the ex and think of the garth brooks song "she's gonna make it, he never will" and laugh my life isnt as bad as it could have been if I was still with him. Ray and I may be broke alot but we have love for each other and michael and life is good.

I know I know its been a week since my last post, I kept thinking about it and then would get busy and/or be tired and just go to bed.

So the last couple of weeks here is a quick review:

Me—lets see I’m the most boring person lately, I work and I work I come home, cook, clean maybe knit a little on Michaels sweater and go to bed. This week I’ll be taping shows almost every night. I cant wait for the greys anatomy to start. I love that show.
This coming weekend will be a big one for me I’m taking my daughter Jamie down to Boston to the knit out and then to the blue man group. I cant wait. It should be so much fun we are volunteering for the set up first thing in the am then we are going to walk to quincy market and see all the sites I don’t think Jamie has ever walked around Boston before. Oh and really big news on the Jamie front this past Thursday Jamie got her drivers license. I was so proud of her I wish I could by her a car but I just can right now we are struggling with our own bill. I hope ray gets a better paying job soon.
yesterday I did go to LL Bean and exchange Michael's backpack that had a malfunction for a new one I love living this close to beans so I can do that. Jamie came over and watched Michael so I actually had a few minutes to myself and I enjoyed it. Even though I bought nothing for myself.

Michael—has been a lot better in school and on the bus, we went and met with his teacher last Thursday and she thinks he is a little chatty but doesn’t feel there are any real problems Yet. We will keep an eye on things. He if very moody at home but I personally think a lot of it is to do with him being tired. He gets up with me and we leave by 6am every morning and he doesn’t get picked from daycare until 4:30 –5 I know it’s a long day for such a little guy, I sooo wish I could be out early and pick him up everyday but I have to work until 5 everyday so I have no choice. I so wish I did.
This past Saturday Ray and Michael went and sold popcorn for the tiger scouts at the local grocery store. He wore his uniform for the first time isn’t he cute…



















Ray—ok for all you non hunting reader you can stop now. I don’t want any hateful emails ok. This is how we feed our family. This past Saturday Ray got his first deer of the year. He was so excited he called right after he shot it and asked me to come out and give him a hand tracking her. Michael decided he wanted to come, he is very involved with all aspects of hunting with us. It took us about an hour because it was getting dark and she crossed a brook twice so it was a tough track, but Ray had made a really good shot.
Michael got a little nervous walking out in the dark heck I don’t love being in the woods when its that dark but we did it as a family.
Ray and I found out last night we got drawn to be part of a deer harvesting project at a game preserve in our state there are more deer on this property than it can handle so they have bowhunters come in and thin the herd. All the deer taken get donated to the local soup kitchen so its for a good cause. Its from nov 15 to dec 15 we have to commit to so many hunts during that time period they give you an area and that’s where you hunt period. I did it a few years ago it’s a good time a lot of teamwork involved everyone looks out for everyone else.
People that shun hunting should know that ray and I have not bought store meat in over 4 years we hunt for deer, I have harvested a bear, and we buy a couple of pigs and chickens from a friends farm every year. Plus we go to a local town every time they call and pick up the road kill deer that people don’t want. It fills the freezer and our tummy’s.
The butcher shop we use was closed Saturday night so Sunday morning I took the deer down and put her in the truck and got ready for church, we dropped her off on the way and will have fresh meat by Friday .
Oh yeah Michael loves Sunday school going was a really good decision for him he thinks its better than regular school of course it’s a lot of playing and coloring.

A Day to Remember.
I had a long post planned for yesterday and got busy and today just isnt the day for it. Today is a day for remembering, Ray and I went to New York after an archery tourniment in July of 2002, We were in awe ground zero was huge, the impact on the entire area was amazing, I took a couple of pictures of a fire truck that was parked next to the parking lot for the statue of liberty ferry. These photos dont do it justice. It was beautiful people were all standing around just looking at it.
Do you remember where you were that day. I was working to the town public works dept. within hours of the crash we were putting up barricades around important buildings and the military gun making company in our town. We played security for about a week at different locations some of the barricades are still in place today, the world is a different place now. We were part of history that the younger kids will read about in there history books. We saved a bunch of newspapers from that week and put them away so someday Michael will have them.
Please thank your local fireman, policeman and any military personal you may know. Its a good day to remember thoses living and those that gave all.

Happy anniversary to me and Ray

Yup today is our 6 year wedding anniversary and he remembered and bought me a fry daddy. We have fish alot so lets make a healthy thing unhealth cook it in grease. No I'm kidding I had been wanting one for awhile that and a rotisary so maybe for my birthday I will get that. I love Ray more that I can express he has stood with me thru thick and thin and definatly thru sickness and health what more can I ask for. Here are a couple of photos of our wedding it was in a friends yard, matter of fact the guy in the post below Steve this is his sister Gails house she is the one that married us. And yes I'm very pregnant I had Michael october 8. At least I'll alway remember how many years we've been married by how old Michael is. The last picture is recent one.

Stepping Back into Life
In 2001, my husband, Steve, lost both legs while on his way to work when a car hit him head on. After one month in a coma and four more months in rehab, he has strived to make the best out of his situation.

As part of this effort, Steve created a resource initiative, Stepping Back Into Life, Inc., in the spring of 2003. The initiative’s centerpiece is the Web site, www.loignon.com, which offers support, encouragement, and resource references to anyone who is or has been recently physically disabled.

Through its Website and references, Stepping Back Into Life, Inc. has become a valuable resource for the recently disabled. Users can find information on rehab and support groups, education and retraining, scholarships, sponsors, and even information on insurance coverage.

Since the accident, Steve has not let his disability slow him down. His non-profit foundation has expanded, and it recently gave two scholarships to those who wish to go on to college. In addition to working on Stepping Back Into Life, Inc., Steve returned to work at Pratt & Whitney Aircraft and opened a small business, all of which he has documented at the organization Web site. The site includes numerous stories by and about similarly disabled and recently disabled contributors, all of whom have overcome their handicaps to lead productive and active lives.

Steven has been a motivator and an inspiration to many people. He attained his Bachelors degree soon after leaving rehab. He contributes his time and efforts to the Disability Rights Center of Maine as well as Maine Handicapped skiing. He recently traveled solo to Tennessee to attend the Amputee Coalition of America Educational Conference. Steve’s continuing mission is to help the disabled and the recently disabled find the inspiration, knowledge, and resources required to "Step Back Into Life" proudly, and with more enthusiasm than ever!
